A Mindfulness Workshop for Labour and Birth

This interactive workshop, designed for couples, draws on elements of yoga and mindfulness, to help make your journey into labour, birth and parenthood fulfilling, joyful and positive.

By "coming to the present moment", we will explore how being mindful can allay anxiety through non-expectation, which results from a sense of "open-mindness".

This, coupled with simple breath awareness can lead to a satisfying birth at home or in hospital.

Rhian Roberts has worked as a midwife for the last 30 years and as a yoga teacher for 10 years. The workshop combines her experience of both. She believes that pregnant women are "hard-wired" physically and emotionally to absorb the teachings that yoga has to offer.

The workshop is recommended after 28 weeks of pregnancy. Loose comfortable clothing is preferable for this practical experiential session. All equipment is provided.

The workshop is one session running from 9.30 -16.30, please see the dates below

The cost is £80 per couple
